My Loss Your Gain

It's time to do some spring cleaning and clean up the big old mess that has become my closet. With less going into storage due to seasonless dressing(i.e. summer dresses in the winter, sweaters on cold summer nights). It's become hard to manage the damn thing. I'm going to start off with shoes because well theres never enough room for shoes.

First up are one of my more favorite shoes I own. I bought these circa the chanel runway and scored them before it was impossible to find them for lower than a triple digit price. I was very lucky.
Photobucket
They are Vintage Colin Stuart. A size 8( but can fit a 7.5).They have a great tan leather. Just know that these were really loved by me so they do have some wear and tear(but very minor).
Price:$30.00
Shipping: $12.00

Next up are a rather recent purchase that I made. They were scored from the infamous LF end-of-season sale. I love these and they look great with an all black ensemble.
Photobucket
They are the limited edition Jeffrey Campbell "Alexa" wedges that were inspired by the Acne Atacoma wedges. They are Patent leather and are a size 8(they fit true to size).
Price: $50.00 valued at $195.00
Shipping: $12.00
SOLD!!!!!

Up Next are my favorite lace up heeled combat boots ever!!!
I've had these for a long while now and really love them!!! They were great to match with floral dresses and denim jackets.
Photobucket
They are the famous "Little J" Nine West boots that were so publicized.
They are super comfy and are great for walking(if your not a big heel wearer these are great). They are a size 8(I believe) and have some wear in them.
Price:$25.00
Shipping:$12.00
SOLD!!!!!

Next are these H&M wedges that are sold out everywhere.
They came out last spring and were great to wear with black tights or without.
They have a gladiator inspired look to them and look great with everything.
Photobucket
They are a size 7 which run kind of big for H&M so if your a small 8 these will fit just fine. The top part is a great black leather and the wedge part is made of canvas.
Price:$15.00
Shipping: $12.00

Maximum Coverage

Photobucket

Lately I have been on a Maxi Binge. I didn't fully commit to this trend but I have a few pieces that are awaiting their exposure from the old closet.Maxi dresses/skirts are not new to fashion trends because they've been on the radar for quite some time now but this modest look has a new face. Less bohemian, more minimalist.I've never really approached the maxi because any time I've come across something it's always been the same thing. Cut at the empire, flares out exaggeratedly. It was a look that didn't suit well for me.I would always look for something that was cut at the small of the waist or something straight so I could belt it to create a silhouette that would work for my frame but was always unsuccessful. Until last year. I found this amazing sheer gauzy maxi in a paisley print at forever21.It was perfect because it was straight and allowed me to play with the silhouette. However this year the more body conscience the better. It's due to the fact that Sweden is THE place to get your source of inspiration and lately Swedes have been pulling out the goth goddess look. Its a formula that works so amazingly well. It's all about getting the right silhouette. Whether it's vintage, a stripe version or plain old jersey scoop neck one thing if for sure the maxi is not going anywhere.
